Riva Town House is a business in the hospitality industry that provides accommodation, food and beverage..
Delivery policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 1 days and delivery confirmed by way of confirmation of booking email and booking number.
Return and Refunds policy
The provision of goods and services by Riva Town House is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Riva Town House will refund the client in full within 5 working days.
Cancellation of booking by the client within 2-7 days of arrival will attract a fee equal to 50% of deposit paid on booking.
Cancellation of booking by the client within 48 or 24 hours of arrival will attract a fee equal to 100% of reservation value.
No show by the client will attract a fee equal to 100% of reservation value.
Damaged or stolen goods will be charged to client at the discretion of Riva Town House.
Customer Privacy policy
Riva Town House shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from: http://www.polity.org.za/attachment.php?aa_id=3569 .
Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.
Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be acquired for Riva Town House via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Riva Town House separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
Responsibility
Riva Town House takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Riva Town House chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, South Africa .
Variation
Riva Town House may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

Policies
ACCESsIBILITY
We currently do not have suitable access to our sites or services for people who use wheelchairs or those with ambulant disabilities.
Booking
All rates are inclusive of breakfast. No exclusions are available.

All reservations must be confirmed by booking on our site together with a 50% deposit; our booking and refund policy is part of our conditions accepted on booking payment.
Cancellation / no show
Cancellation 2 - 7 days prior to arrival
50% of the deposit will be charged.
48 hours prior / same day cancellation or no show
100% of the full reservation value will be charged
Receipt of the reservation form, or deposit or prepayment assures unconditional agreement of our terms.
Arrival & departure
Our standard check-in time is 3pm and checkout time is 10am.
Late checkouts can be arranged for 50% of the full room rate, if you wish to use the room for longer than 4 hours the full rate will be charged.
Guests are welcome to remain as long as needed in our lounges and facilities after they have checked out for no additional cost while waiting transportation or flights, but must checkout of their rooms by 10am or additional fees as above will be charged.
GUESTS
Guests are permitted to bring up to two visitors with them to the House at any one time although please be aware that during very busy times we may have to restrict guest access to certain areas of the House. A guest’s visitor may not enter the House without that guest being present. Guests may not be separated from their visitors within the House or allow their visitors to remain in the House when they leave. Guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors follow all House Rules and Policies. If their guests violate such rules or policies their stay will be terminated. .
CHILDREN
This House is designed for adults. Children under 12 are not permitted to stay as guests.
Please be considerate of other guests if you do bring children over 12, Please remember that your children are your responsibility at all times when present at the House and ensure they are not left unattended at any time.
ATTIRE
The House fosters a non-corporate atmosphere. The house requires that everyone dress appropriately in public areas.
MOBILE PHONES / AUDIO / VIDEO
To protect the relaxed atmosphere within the House, please be considerate when making phone calls. Ideally guests may not take or make phone calls in the quite areas of the house such as the lounge or library. Phones should be in silent mode while in the House. Texting is permitted and calls may be made in designated areas within the House and rooms. Please ensure that your visitors also adhere to our phone policy. Movies, videos, songs, internet calls, presentations and all other audio must only be played through headphones and should not be audible to any other member or guest present. Internet calls must only take place in designated areas or rooms.
CONFIDENTIALITY
House management and all staff members are required to adhere to the strictest confidentiality standards and pledge to maintain all records and personal information concerning the members and their guests in the strictest confidence.
ILLEGAL DRUGS/SUBSTANCES/ITEMS
No guest shall purchase, sell, use or possess any object which is illegal or offensive while on House premises or in the immediate vicinity thereof. If any such objects are found, the item will be confiscated, the relevant guest will be removed from the House and depending on the circumstances we may have to call the police or relevant authorities.
BILLS
All bills must be settled in full before leaving the House. There are no credit facilities. Guests are responsible for their visitor’s bills if they are not paid.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Please refrain from bringing to the House any outside food or beverages, unless medically necessary.
PRIVATE HIRE AND HOUSE MAINTENANCE
We may at times close all or part of the House to guests for private events or for necessary maintenance, repair or redecoration work. Where we close part of the House for private events, please honour and respect the privacy of all private events occurring in the House.
Where all or part of the House is closed for maintenance, repair or redecoration work, or where we need to withdraw facilities or services because we consider that they may pose a risk to the health or safety of our guests or staff, or that they are detrimental to the business, we will seek to ensure that any such area, facility or service is reinstated as soon as practicable.
EVENTS
We love to hear what our guests get up to at Riva Townhouse. Whilst you are a guest at our House, we may ask you to give your views of, and experiences at, the House and we may also film, video or photograph our guest events and activities at our Houses for use in our advertising, promotions, public relations, and other commercial/business purposes.
If you take part in these interviews or events, you agree that we may use your name, image and limited other information and consent to us publishing any materials produced by, or for us, for any purpose without your further consent and you waive your right to receive any payment from us in connection with such publication
ACCIDENT AND INJURIES
We want all our guests to relax and enjoy the activities and facilities available at our House in safety. Guests agree to observe the House Rules and any signs published or displayed on the property at all times, only swim in designated areas and to take reasonable precautions when traveling around the grounds or using the facilities at the House.
If a guest has an accident or suffers any injury at, or in the vicinity of, the House, please report this as soon as possible to a member of staff and in any event within 24 hours of the incident.
As well as wanting to check on a member or guest’s well being, this information is needed in order to help us comply with our health and safety obligations and for insurance purposes.
Guests and their visitors enter and use these premises at their own risk. Neither the owner nor their representatives or agents are liable for loss or damage to guests’ or visitors’ property, or the injury or death of any guests or visitors, whether or not such loss, damage, injury or death is as a result of the negligence of the owners and/or their representatives.
ENTERING AND LEAVING THE HOUSE
All members and their guests are asked to respect our nearby residents by being quiet when entering or leaving the House premises or while in the surrounding area.
ANIMALS
No animals will be allowed in the House except for legally recognised and certified assistance dogs.
SMOKING POLICY
All guests are obligated to abide by the House’s no smoking policy and to all applicable no-smoking governmental laws, rules and regulations. No smoking (including e-cigarettes and vapes) is allowed inside the House or on the property at any time.
USE OF EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES
You must not use any equipment or undertake any activity at a House unless you are satisfied that you are competent to do so in a safe and proper manner.
When using any equipment and facilities available at a House, you must take care to safeguard your own health and safety and that of other people, and you will be solely responsible for any loss or injury that you cause to yourself, other persons or to the equipment or facilities to the extent that it is caused through your unsafe or improper use of the equipment or facilities (including your use of them whilst under the influence of alcohol or medication) or your failure to advise staff of a medical condition relevant to your use of the equipment or facilities.
LIABILITY OF RIVA TOWNHOUSE
All items brought into the House are brought and left entirely at the risk of a member or his or her guests. Riva Townhouse, its staff and/or agents shall not be liable to any guest for any loss, damage or injury suffered by them or their property howsoever caused, save in respect of death or personal injury to a member or guest to the extent caused by the negligence of Riva Townhouse, its staff and/or agents. This is not intended to affect any mandatory rights a member or guest may have under local law that we cannot legally restrict or exclude
